The strength of LC Energy lies in recognizing and grasping opportunities for the development of renewable energy. This ability is crucial for shaping the energy transition in the Netherlands.
Renewable energy projects are supported by three main pillars: suitable and available land, the prevailing governmental policy, and a connection to the energy grid. These pillars are the core of our focus. Our work process therefore relies heavily on participation, and seamless cooperation with all stakeholders is a prerequisite. When convinced landowners want to tap in to the value of their land, municipalities decidedly open the dialogue, and a reciprocal relationship can be established with grid owners, all parties involved will be able to combine the pieces of the puzzle to form a bigger picture.
LC Energy facilitates this participation and focuses on intensive dialogue, with locals, experts, and other key stakeholders. Whenever we accomplish combining our three key pillars, the result is sustainable.
Partners for the transition
Solving the energy puzzle is not something we do alone. Being a subsidiary, LC Energy benefits of having two well established transition partners, S4 Energy and CCI, who provide knowledge, experience, and resources. Together, this partnership is an unprecedented accumulation of flexibility and efficiency. These are essential ingredients for the realisation of complex, large-scale projects in the energy transition.

Biodiversity
LC Energy repurposes (former) agricultural land or dumps in a sustainable way while also creating a richer natural environment. We reclaim land that were used for intensive agriculture and will have them flourish again. Our solar farms and battery parks are therefore not only prosperous for humans, but also for nature, and its flora and fauna. Our aim is to generate healthy and structural biodiversity.

Stakeholders
The development of a solar farm or a battery park is always a challenging project. LC Energy charts the many (and sometimes opposing) interests of all stakeholders involved and integrates these into a development plan. An energy park must meet technical and financial feasibility requirements, but of equal importance: it must be safe, with benefits for biodiversity and satisfied local communities.

Research, management and ownership
For all aspects of the energy transition, research and innovation are vital. We actively partake in this. We analyse and research the best incorporation of solar farm and battery parks, whilst considering rural planning. Together with partners we participate in several scientific projects and look for circular techniques to develop our systems. We are part of a thinktank that was established to develop biodiversity growth in the wake of the energy transition. LC Energy cares for proper and reliable research on the opportunities and consequences of energy interventions that effect our natural environment, and we continue to contribute to this research.
